How to add a PTR record (rDNS)?

7 December, 2023

When setting up reverse DNS for your server, follow the steps below in the control panel. Go to this [link to the control panel] and then select the section [VDS Management – Server Management].

Go to the [MAIN INFORMATION] tab.

At the bottom of the page, you will find a section responsible for managing the necessary records [Reverse DNS (PTR)].

In the field [1], you will see the current value of the PTR (rDNS) record for your IP address, which can be edited. It is important to ensure that the PTR record follows the FQDN format.

Make the necessary changes in the [PTR (rDNS)] field, then activate them by clicking the [Save] button [2].

Thus, you will successfully configure the reverse DNS for your server, ensuring the correct display of the PTR (rDNS) record for the corresponding IP address.

All changes will take effect within 24 hours.
