In the Hestia control panel, you can create a backup of your data by going to the Backup section, where you need to click on “Create Archive”.
The duration of the process averages from 5 to 15 minutes. This depends on the number of files and the size of each. Upon completion of the archive creation, the user receives an email notification. You cannot create more than one archive at the same time.
After the process is completed, you can download, restore, or delete the archived files. Several buttons are provided for managing the data:
“Download”. Starts transferring the archive from the server to the PC;
“Restore”. This allows the user to learn about the files contained in the archive and gives permission to restore the information;
“Delete”. Initiates irreversible deletion of the archive, freeing up disk space.
Clicking on the archive name initiates the restore command. This can be done with all files or selected ones, by marking them beforehand — for example, specific sites or selected databases.
