In the Hestia control panel, the default backup archive includes all user files containing information about system files, databases, website files, and mailboxes. If the backup archive requires more free disk space than is permissible, then copying will not occur either on schedule or if the user manually performs this operation.
A way out of such a situation may be to delete large files from the backup. Such files include image directories, cache data, unnecessary databases, etc. To remove items from the backup, simply:
- Go to the Backup section, find “Archive Exclusions”, then — “Exclusion Settings for Archive”.

- List the websites that should not be archived in the “Web Domains” section. Each resource name should start on a new line.

- If you need to delete specific directories from the site, they should be separated by a colon. The same can be done with databases, placing each of them on a separate line.

- After saving the settings, return to the Backup section and “Archive Exclusions”, checking the display of deleted items.
