Snapshot – a snapshot of the current state of the server. It is used for the ability to "rollback" to the state at the time the snapshot was created (before any changes were made).
To use and configure the snapshot, you need to go to the “Control Panel”.
Click on “Virtual Servers” → “Manage VPS”.

Creation:
When creating in the “snapshot” module, click “+”, then follow the instructions in the control panel:

- a created restore point exists for 24 hours;
- a created restore point cannot exceed a size of 10 GB;
- there can only be one restore point;
- after 24 hours from the creation of the restore point, the snapshot will be automatically deleted;
IMPORTANT! In case of exceeding the limit of the maximum quota volume - the data cannot be restored. It is important to monitor the amount of used space of the restore point.
Restoration:
In the “snapshot” module, click “restore”, then follow the instructions in the control panel:

- upon completion of the restoration - you will receive an email;
- after the restoration is completed, the copy will be deleted;
IMPORTANT! In case of exceeding the limit of the maximum volume - the data cannot be restored;
IMPORTANT! To restore (merge data), the server must be turned off. If the server is active, it will be forcibly turned off, and after the restoration - turned on. For a proper shutdown of the operation and used services, we recommend to “gently” turn off the server via the console, using the commands: shutdown or poweroff. This is critically important for restoring MySQL table data, as in the case of an improper shutdown of the service - its operation may be disrupted;
Deletion:
In the “snapshot” module, click “Delete”, then follow the instructions in the control panel:

- when manually deleting, the existing copy will be deleted without the possibility of its use;
- automatic deletion is activated according to the date specified in the “Deletion Date” field;
- status: Active or Inactive. An inactive and existing restore point can only be an overflowing snapshot, which cannot be restored due to the possibility of violating the integrity of the file system;
- you can refresh the snapshot information using the “Refresh” button, which is available every 5 minutes.
